Immense snow covered mountains make up the setting for the poster calling people to visit the Colorado Rockies. Blue, gray, brown and purple mountains are covered with snow which lead to rolling green hills and travel amenities in the fore ground. The blue sky is reduced to a small strip at the top of the image and the lake and red roofed cabin are dwarfed at the bottom. A tour guide dressed in traditional costume and two patrons riding horses, a cabin with six people, two more horses and a lake surrounded by forest are diminutive at the bottom. The poster states that “Train Travel Costs are Lower” and the Colorado Rockies were among one of the United States 1934 “National Park of the Year" which was commemorated with a stamp. These two facts as well as the imagery attracted visitors to see beautiful mountains for a great price.
