A photograph of a cell phone and an old photograph laying side by side on a wooden table. Even though the objects are obviously from different times, the subjects look similar. Both depict a young (toddler-age) child with short curly brown hair wearing overalls standing in a garden.
I took this photo of myself and one of my ancestors (great-great-something) on October 10th. My family is very small, very spread out, and not very close–– so when we're all together, it's not usually for a happy reason. My grandfather is dying, so we all flocked to Ohio to be with each other. When looking through family photos, I noticed how similar I look to someone who I never met. It's funny what carries through.
