Grandma's Bracelet

Title
Grandma's Bracelet
Description
This 14K gold wrist chain is 7.5 inches long and 5mm wide. It has a hidden clasp with a safety catch to provide a seamless look to the olive leaf inspired pattern. The bracelet was made in the 1980s by the L C&C jewelry company with Beverly Hills Gold, whose trademark can be found on the underside of the bracelet in their customary shield shape.
I inherited this item from my grandmother in the fall of 2020, although it was not physically given to me by her. At the time I got this, my grandparents had just been put in a nursing home and my aunt was going through their house and trying to get rid of things. She decided to divide my grandmother's gold jewelry between the three granddaughters, and this was the one piece I decided to keep. Both of my cousins took way more jewelry than I did, that was much more flashy, but I liked the simple elegance of this bracelet. My grandmother recently passed away this past August, and since receiving the bracelet I had never worn it, partially because I forgot about it. At her funeral, I noticed my cousins wearing her jewelry which inspired me to start wearing it more regularly. To me, wearing it is always I reminder of her, although I am not wearing nearly as many gold chains as she did. I hope that in the future I can pass this piece down to one of my children.
