My Pep Band Uniform

Title
My Pep Band Uniform
Description
This is a replica RIT hockey jersey in the newer style that the old bookstore launched in 2019. It is made of a thinner polyester than the old jerseys, with no laces at the bottom of the collar, and no embroidery of the RIT tiger logo. On the upper half of the left arm there is a patch that says 'RIT Pep Band Senior.' Covering the back of the jersey are the signatures of every player on the RIT men's and women's D1 hockey team since 2019, in Sharpie.
While I am a little disappointed that the year I joined pep band, Barnes and Noble got rid of the older (and nicer) jersey style, this jersey has still seen a lot in the past four years. I joined the pep band as a flautist when I was freshman, and am still part of the band to this day. It originally just started out as a fun side activity to help me keep playing my instrument after high school, but turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the weekends here. I love attending hockey games, being able to cheer on our teams, not only through lots of yelling but also music, and hanging out with the other members of the band. There is a real sense of community, not only in the band, but at the games in general because we are all there to spread school pride and cheer on the teams. This jersey has been worn to almost every hockey game I have been to, as it is the uniform the pep band wears to any sporting event we play at. The signatures on the back are a tradition in the band, that over the years, we attend the team signings that happen after the games, and collect the signatures as a way to show how long we have been there. Although, now I have a pep band senior patch, so now everyone clearly knows how long I have been part of the band.
